Trying to decide on the best outcome for your unplanned pregnancy can be overwhelming, especially if there are financial constraints. If you are considering adoption for your unplanned pregnancy, some of your pregnancy-related expenses are eligible to be covered.
Read this article to understand some of the costs that can be covered by the adoption agency or adoptive family.
How Do I Know How Much Assistance I Am Eligible for?
Some states have limits on the total dollar amount you can have covered, but in Minnesota, the actual limit of financial assistance is dependent on whether or not you have dependents, your income and living situation, and which county you are located in (some counties do have limits).
What Costs Can I Get Covered?
In Minnesota, legal representation, medical care, and access to emotional counseling are always free. The court must approve all expenses. Other costs that are eligible to be covered include maternity clothes, rent, groceries, utility and phone costs, and more.
